With the Christmas holiday season approaching, PETA went out searching for the best Vegan Christmas dinners available in restaurants and pubs across the UK.Just as there are 12 days of Christmas, PETA selected the top 12 menus that meet the growing demand for hearty, healthy, and humane holiday fare – and Magor’s The Golden Lion earnt itself a spot on the list.

The Golden Lion Vegan menu included a pumpkin pâté served on top of chopped and marinated vegetable medallions with warm bread to start, a traditional Tofurky dish served with vegetables and gravy as a main, and a vegan brulée served with strawberry ice-cream for dessert, among other options – all completely free of meat, eggs and dairy foods.

PETA’s Director Elisa Allen said: “PETA encourages all Britons to celebrate a compassionate Christmas by enjoying a vegan feast – with all the taste and none of the cruelty of a traditional meaty spread.” …“Thanks to The Golden Lion, it’s easier than ever to extend the spirit of giving to all this holiday season by leaving animals off our plates”.

Other eateries on PETA’s list are located in Glasgow, London, Northampton, and elsewhere across the UK. The Golden Lion is very proud to have been recognised and to have received a framed certificate and be featured on PETA’s website. For more information, please visit PETA.org.uk.
